“Peggy Nehmen has been instrumental in shepherding my book from a rough word document to reality. Her knowledge and guidance is first rate. At each fork in the road, Peggy explained various options but always had a solid recommendation which I followed in every instance. I was never left wondering “what should I do?”

“I’m glad I hired Peggy Nehmen to design my book. Not only did she do a beautiful job with the interior layout and the covers for my memoir (Grace in a Wintry Season), but she had the patience to endure my seemingly endless edits. I doubt that another designer would have stuck with me through so many frustrating changes—and now she’s doing it again with my revision of “Grace.”

Peggy Nehmen did an incredible job on our Gender Studies brochures.  What a difference a graphic designer can make!

Peggy Nehmen is a most creative cover designer among many other talents she has. She designed the two books I published, Amazing Journey, Metamorphosis of a Hidden Child in 2010 and Our Father’s Voice, A Holocaust Memoir in 2012.  She also made the layout for the latter book and managed to enhance my old photographs so that they came out great in the finished work. Throughout our work together, she was most helpful with creative, practical suggestions and ideas which made improved my book. Her pleasant and friendly demeanor made working together a pleasure. She was always ready and willing to make any changes I wanted– no matter how many times I asked–with a smile. Should I ever plan another book in the future, I will certainly ask Peggy to work with me again. I highly recommend her to any author planning to publish.

After years of work on my manuscript, I was fortunate to have met Peggy Nehmen, graphic designer with N-K Creative in St. Louis, Missouri. With enthusiasm, she approached the task, enlarging and enhancing my initial design for the book. The layout of the front cover resulted from her internalizing the book’s theme, from darkness into light. Using the pastel sketch of a yellow straw hat with bachelor buttons and poppies I had provided, she superimposed it upon a torn gray background opening out onto a field of sky-blue; upon it, the clean-looking font used for the title and the author’s name. She also incorporated deft touches in the book’s interior that enhanced the text and afforded readers a riveting experience.
In addition to Peggy’s skills as a graphic designer, her computer savvy introduced me to several print-on-demand publishers, then guided me through the set-up with CreateSpace. When my next book is ready, I will certainly call upon Peggy. In the meantime, I continue informing my readers of her expertise.
